v19.1.1 completion + operational skill sync: (1) added 13_UPSTREAM_SYNC_PROTOCOL.md (mandatory Phase 1.5 upstream capability discovery/sync), (2) pivoted first pilot from Snowflake to Fivetran (equally critical, non-team-active = low blast radius; Snowflake demoted to position 4 while remaining canonical reference Contract), (3) rewrote /root/.claude/skills/mcp-server-development/SKILL.md from v18.1 to v19.1.1 (450 lines, covers Ten Laws + 12-section Pairing Contract + 11 guardrails + 9-phase Playbook with Phase 1.5 + Fivetran pilot), (4) supersedence banners added to 4 v18.1 reference files redirecting to v19.0/ Bible. Bible branch v19.0 now 6 commits: a522c03 → 2057aa5 → 6d3760e → 7df0512 → 0af70cf → 2b16d9b → 12c3002.

Rationale

AJ raised two important items: (a) proactive upstream capability research must be part of every upgrade (now formalized as mandatory Phase 1.5 in Playbook + new 13_UPSTREAM_SYNC_PROTOCOL.md with 6-step protocol + 3 triggers + coverage bars + per-pair state files), (b) pivot first pilot to Fivetran because Snowflake is actively team-used and first pilot should have minimum blast radius. Both executed. Separately, AJ flagged the mcp-server-development skill — the operational entry point every future MCP session loads. That skill was anchored to v18.1 (Seven Laws, Gold Stack v18.1, 4-Tier v3.0, 4-phase upgrade workflow) — would have silently undone all the v19.0/v19.1/v19.1.1 work by directing agents to outdated patterns. Rewrote the skill’s SKILL.md in place: Ten Laws with correct numbering (v18.1 Laws 1-7 preserved + v19.0 Laws 8-10 additive), Pairing Contract quick-ref section, 11-guardrail catalog, Gold Stack v19.1.1 pins, 4-Tier v3.1 diagram, 9-phase Playbook with mandatory Phase 1.5 Upstream Capability Sync, Fivetran pilot note, updated Bible Source Reference pointing at v19.0/ branch, v19.1.1 Common Mistakes extensions. 450 lines within 04_SKILL_STANDARD size cap. References subdirectory (4 files, 1,558 lines of v18.1-era detail) received surgical supersedence banners redirecting to authoritative v19.0/ Bible paths — preserves historical content without letting stale guidance override the new Bible. Final 8-filter anti-bloat check passed retroactively (setup-curator guard fired advisory post-write; AJ’s directive authorized). Framework is now operationally coherent: the skill that gates all future MCP work reflects the Bible that governs it.
