skill-progressive-disclosure-split-shrinks-skill-md-not-total-content
When a skill is progressively disclosed by moving content from SKILL.md into docs/ or references/ subdirectories, SKILL.md byte size shrinks but total skill content grows. Auditing SKILL.md file size alone produces false regression signals. Correct audit methodology: compare total directory size (all files) per skill, not SKILL.md size alone. Both frontend-redesign (+1665B net) and website-creator (+612B net) showed byte shrinkage at SKILL.md level but content growth at skill-dir level.
