ResearchClaw v0.4.0 config schema is 6.3× larger than v0.3.1 and upstream ships a stdio scaffold with 6 placeholder handlers, while our deployment is a streamable-HTTP wrapper exposing 11 real tool surfaces. A naive file-copy migration would silently drop 5 tool surfaces and break the ORACLE Hermes seam. Requires a dedicated design session using decision_matrix before proceeding; v0.3.1 left running untouched, backup retained at /opt/enterprise-backup/researchclaw/pre-upgrade-20260415/.
