Upstream notebooklm-mcp-cli v0.5.17 exposes 38 consolidated tools (not 37 as documented; download_artifact is async and sometimes miscounted). The consolidation replaces 42 granular custom tools with action-parameterized equivalents (e.g., source_add(source_type=url) instead of source_add_url). Net gain of 20 capabilities unavailable in the custom wrapper: studio_revise, cross_notebook_query, batch, pipeline, tag, notebook_query_start/status, chat_configure, notebook_get/describe, source_describe/rename/list_drive/sync_drive, research_status, notebook_share_status/batch, refresh_auth, save_auth_tokens, server_info, download_artifact.
