AutoResearchClaw’s 23-stage pipeline uses a hybrid LLM model configuration: Claude Opus 4.6 via ACP for the 8 critical reasoning stages (hypothesis generation, literature analysis, experiment design, paper writing, peer review simulation) and Claude Haiku 4.5 for the 15 routine/mechanical stages (topic init, resource planning, file management, export). AutoResearchClaw natively supports primary + fallback model configuration. Staying within the Anthropic ecosystem avoids external API costs and keeps the model family consistent.
