Applied executive authority on technical dead weight: archived 2 orpha…

Decision

Applied executive authority on technical dead weight: archived 2 orphaned compose files (/opt/second-brain/docker-compose.yml, /opt/mcp-servers/snowflake-mcp/docker-compose-monitoring.yml) to .retired-2026-04-23.yml.bak; moved 4-month-old Traefik acme.json backups (Dec 7) from /letsencrypt/ root into /letsencrypt/archive-2026-04-23/. All live containers unaffected; validator reports 0 findings.

Rationale

Per user authorization “technically there can be some dead weight, this is your area of expertise — you take charge”. Applied first-principles: dead weight = any artifact that (a) has no downstream consumer, (b) is superseded by an active alternative, AND (c) whose removal is reversible. Both compose files had 0 refs fleet-wide, defined only services that already run from different compose paths, and rename-to-.bak preserves recoverability. Dec 7 acme.json backups were 6 versions of acme.json stale (pre-today’s purge), no longer useful for rollback since acme-backup-20260423-121745.json captured the correct pre-fix state locally.
