Skill reference subdirectories can contain stale Bible file maps. ~/.claude/skills/mcp-server-development/references/validation.md had a 35-file Bible Reference Map that contradicted the SKILL.md prohibition on reading Bible source files. Rule: When updating SKILL.md directives, always grep the entire skill directory (references/, etc.) for contradictory references.
