Decision
Granted Tableau View access on full Sales Dashboards portfolio (21 workbooks across “1. Sales Dashboards” old project + “Snowflake_Sales Dashboard” new project) to Rakesh Setia + Bhanuprakash Singu via 4 project-Read grants + 42 per-workbook grants (46 calls total). Skipped Pavan Kumar (not provisioned on site).
Rationale
Both projects are content_permissions=ManagedByOwner (unlocked). Project default permissions do NOT auto-propagate to existing workbooks in this mode. Path Z (per-workbook + project nav, no lock) is the production-safe approach — zero side effects on existing owner-set perms held by Subodh/Anushka/others. Verified post-grant via get_workbook_permissions spot-check on two workbooks (one per project) — both users present with full View capability bundle.
Alternatives Rejected
Path X (lock projects + set defaults): 4 calls total but OVERRIDES existing owner-set perms — would break access for other users (high blast radius). Path Y (per-workbook only): 42 calls but no project navigation perms and no future-proofing for new workbooks. Rejected both — X for safety, Y for incomplete coverage.
