Decision

Eradicate Paperclip + MC Enterprise + CIOS-notify + OpenAgents from the unified intelligence enterprise via Option A (full eradication, no replacement utilities). Surviving stack: OpenClaw + Hermes Consul + Hermes Oracle. Reduces enterprise from 4-platform complexity to 3-stack focused operation.

Rationale

AJ explicitly requested complete eradication after stating “losing interest in the whole enterprise setup per se. Unnecessary complications, 3 different platforms, and unnecessary complexity.” Paperclip was unrealized capability with ongoing maintenance cost (no agents onboarded after 6 weeks). MC Enterprise + OpenAgents existed primarily to orchestrate Paperclip — became dead-weight without it. CIOS-notify was 95% Paperclip-coupled (paperclip_api.py + handlers + jobs). Cleanest path: full simultaneous eradication rather than staged. Recovery preserved via 533 MB cold archive at /opt/retired/paperclip-mc-cios-eradication-2026-05-06/ with 3 Docker volume tarballs + pg_dumpall + 8 source dirs + all OpenClaw configs + vault episode tarball + 30-day cooling period. Pristine sweep validated 28/28 checks across 16 layers. OAuth Permanent 4→3 reconciliation done in oauth-rotate.sh. Bible (5 docs) + vault (564 episodes) committed separately for clean diff history. Bias detected by ST: anchoring bias on AJ’s initial framing — mitigated by surfacing 5 strategic decisions explicitly + presenting Option A vs B trade-off + accepting 30-day cold archive as hedge against regret.
