Vault Brain hygiene operates on four lanes: (1) real-time cascade on every vault_submit_* call, (2) transcript auto-capture on Stop/PreCompact hooks, (3) nightly hot cache cron at 02:00 IST (zero API cost), (4) weekly NOVA structural sweep. The Archivist agent was removed 07-Apr-2026 — autocompact thrashing + marginal value vs real-time cascade. Any documentation referencing ‘three-lane’ is outdated.
