The correct package is defuddle (not a deprecated predecessor that was merged into it). Global npm install places binary at /usr/bin/defuddle v0.15.0, accessible to both claude and openclaw users. Returns clean article markdown from URLs using Mozilla Readability — 5-10x token reduction vs raw WebFetch HTML by stripping nav, ads, sidebars, cookie banners. Falls back to Playwright for JS-rendered SPAs that defuddle cannot parse.
