openclaw-v4.5-breaking-config-alias-removal-requires-diff-pass
OpenClaw v2026.4.5 removed legacy config aliases, meaning any openclaw.json relying on old key names silently breaks post-upgrade. The upgrade protocol must include a before/after diff of openclaw.json against the new schema on every major version bump. The context-1M patch file location also changed between v4.2 and v4.14, requiring the content-grep strategy rather than path-based patching.
